With the Earth laid bare by environmental disaster, and mankind hell-bent on their extermination, there is only one place for rats to go. The g-force almost crushes his tiny body as the massive intergalactic ship blasts off into the cold darkness of space. Leaving behind all that is familiar, and catapulted into an unknown future, Uphrasia is destined to face the greatest perils of his short life. Let the Frontier Rats take you on an intergalactic adventure into a universe of perilous new worlds, strange life forms, killer cybermoggies, giant megoroslugs and hostile aliens, where only the bravest of rats can survive. Will Uphrasia be able to discard his self-serving rat ways and make the ultimate sacrifice saving his arch enemies the humans? Or will his bitter hatred for them lead to the extinction of his kind? Quest for Ratopia is the first book in the Frontier Rats super-fast paced sci-fi adventure series.

Introduction

After the great global environmental disaster planet Earth was thrown into a mini ice age. Only the hardiest creatures survived. The rats who did survive remember the details only too well. Another terrible bit of history that the humans brought about.

Grumthorpe city is surrounded by barren wastelands with the threat of death at every turn. Rats and humans compete for food or space and this presents the humans with a big problem. Typically, they opt for their usual solution: extermination!

The rats are left with only one escape, to stow away aboard a spaceship bound for a distant galaxy in the hope of finding safe refuge on an alien planet. When every enemy is larger than you, ferocious aliens, killer cyborg cats, mad scientists and a hateful human crew you have to be smart to survive. But will their self-serving rat ways bring about their own extinction?

Ruby O'Keeffe: I'm only a few chapters in and I love this book! The writing style fits the setting and theme perfectly, and the descriptions of the characters, setting and more are beautiful! I would love to read to read more from this author!

Jay: Love the book and only read the first chapter. I'm hooked.

Drew C. Elyon: I've only read one chapter so far, but from what I've seen, this is steampunk at its best. The narrative flows so beautifully I could envision every scene in an almost cinematic fashion. I believe in the complexity of simplicity, and this story has that in its descriptions.

William Elliott Kern: A young boy," later found on the highway by General Jarda", was murdered by Barbarians, came back to life as he was an Anmah, age 6 when the loss of his family had occured.........General Jarda, took the boy, gave him a new name, and introduced him to another Anham and the King, This Story is w...

NancyRichFoster: This second book of the Anmah Series was as awesome as the first story, I disagree with spare runner. The names were ordinary names with different spellings, which I for one loved. I am now going to read the third book in this amazingly awesome story!

Keith: UNSCRIPTED is an excellent, well-told story of a woman who tries to find herself after the painful break-up of her marriage. She does so,intriguingly, by going to Cambodia to help supervise the first free election after the brutal reign of Pol Pot and The Killing Fields. I was drawn to this story...

aoifecollopy22: I loved how the author had the conflict come back later in the story. Also how they passed time without going over anything. That really helped move the story along. This kept my up for a few hours. YOU SHOULD READ THIS

bloodrosemaiden: I love this book!! I have read it several times and though there could be improvements I applaud the author. I know positive feed back is appreciated!! I enjoy reading about the learning the different character's backstories, and the affects in the overall story!

ArgyrisMetaxas: Thrilling story which builds layer ontop of layer. A few mis spellings every few chapters. What I found special was that it took a modern day problem and took it to its logical conclusion and plays this realism with gritting precision. I'm always on edge ready to shout from adrenaline. This is gre...

JWalker: I loved this story from start to finish! It flows at a really nice pace and the story world feels so real.
